DAYTON WOMEN SHUT OUT GEORGE MASON 3-0

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's soccer team picked up its second consecutive Atlantic 10 conference win with its 3-0 shutout against George Mason Friday night at Baujan Field.
The Flyers are 7-4-1 overall and 2-0-0 in conference play, and posted their fourth consecutive shutout with the blanking of the Patriots (3-7-1, 0-1-0 A-10) who were playing their first ever A-10 women's soccer match. UD has outscored opponents 12-0 in its last four matches.
Senior Stephanie Emery scored the game-winning goal, unassisted, for the Flyers in the 11th minute. It was her fifth this season.
Sophomore Megan Herr scored her first collegiate goal in the 22nd minute on a corner kick by senior Juliana Libertin.
Libertin notched her fourth goal of the season in the 87th minute.
The Flyer defense has six shutouts this season and freshman Elizabeth James made three saves to preserve this shutout.
The Flyers will are on the road for two consecutive A-10 matches, first at Massachusetts Friday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. and then Rhode Island Sunday, Oct. 13 at 12:30 p.m.
