August 21, 2017
LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women’s Soccer sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Dorado has been named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. A 2016 Second Team All-MAAC selection, the local product from nearby Guilderland earns conference weekly acclaim for the first time in her career.
Dorado made five saves Sunday to help lead the Saints to a 3-1 season opening victory over Lafayette at Siena Field. Four of her saves came during an active second half in which her stellar play in goal helped preserve Siena’s lead.
Dorado and the Saints return to action this weekend for the Mercer Invitational in Macon, Georgia. Siena opens play Friday night against the host Bears at 8 p.m.
