Soccer Match Against Charlotte Rescheduled For Monday
Pirates and 49ers Will Make Up Game On Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina and Charlotte soccer match, that was cancelled Sunday afternoon due to severe weather, has been rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. (ET) at the ECU Soccer Stadium.
Charlotte led ECU 2-1 at halftime before the game was delayed 90 minutes due to lighting and was eventually cancelled after heavy rains in the area. The two teams will play a complete match starting at 7 p.m.
With the rescheduled game, ECU will play three matches this week. On Thursday, Sept. 6 the Pirates will host High Point (7 p.m.) and then travel to Columbia, S.C. for a 1 p.m. (ET) match on Sunday, Sept. 9.
