Final 2018 TDS Women's DI Top 25
For the first time during the 2018 season, someone besides Stanford is the No. 1 team in the country.
It comes as no surprise after Florida State captured the national championship on Sunday, completing a remarkable and impressive run to the program's second title.
Aside from beating North Carolina on Sunday, the Seminoles topped the Cardinal in Friday's national semifinal by a 2-0 score. That was preceeded by a quarterfinal victory against a very good Penn State side, not to mention bestin USC in the third round on penalty kicks.
The national title is FSU's second in the past five seasons, as they triumphed in Florida back in 2014. Fellow College Cup sides North Carolina, Stanford and Georgetown slot into the next four spots, with UCLA rounding out the top five.
