Five Gen. adidas targets for 2014 MLS Draft
The 2014 MLS SuperDraft is four months away and the college season is less than four weeks old, but it is never too early to take a sneak peak at some of the players who have caught the eye of MLS scouts at this early stage of the season.
Generation adidas, for those unfamiliar, is an initiative that the league put in place to make MLS a desirable option for players before their eligibility expires in college via early entry into the league, hence no seniors on this list.
Last year, the league signed seven players to Generation adidas contracts, including Andrew Farrell, the top overall selection in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by the New England Revolution.
Although rumors have swirled about the downfall of Generation adidas, there are still collegiate players that look talented enough for that route following this season. Below are five that have stood out from the first few weeks of the season.
