The men’s DI college season is largely into conference play now, with only a few leagues yet to start. Here’s a look at five salient talking points as the season rounds the midway point and heads for home.
In Like Flynn
The scoring title is one of the most prestigious awards doled out every year, and Bowling Green’s Pat Flynn is rounding the curve to the second half of the season with the lead. Through the Falcons first nine games, Flynn has 12 goals in 749 minutes to go with three assists. That gives him a two-goal cushion over the nation’s next closest goal-scorer. Perhaps unsurprisingly, then, Bowling Green’s robust attack has generated 23 goals and the Falcons are 7-2-0.
