Fredonia
BUFFALO, NY—Freshman Ivan Vulin (Douglaston/Bronx Science) netted his first collegiate goal in a losing effort as Fredonia (4-7/1-2) defeated Buffalo State (3-6-1/0-3), 4-2, in a SUNYAC game this afternoon at Coyer Field.
The Blue Devils took an early 2-0 lead off a pair of goals by Niall Curran in the 10th and 15th minutes, respectively. Fredonia would add another marker with just over 10 minutes to play in the first period to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Dylan Ross (Staten Island/St. Peter's Boys) finally got the Bengals on the board in the 60th minute as he was able to maneuver his way from midfield past several Fredonia players and slotted a shot to the lower left corner. Each team would add another goal in the final three minutes to close out all scoring.
Fredonia held a slim, 12-11, advantage in shots and a 6-5 edge in corner kicks. Robby Kuhnle (Pleasant Valley/Arlington) and Ian Huntoon (Stamford, CT/West Hill) split time in goal for the Bengals.
Buffalo State will next host Oswego for another conference game Friday at 4 p.m.
