Harmon Named ODU Soccer Dir. of Operations
NORFOLK, Va. – Former Old Dominion University men’s soccer standout Chris Harmon (’12) has been named Director of Soccer Operations for both men’s and women’s soccer programs at ODU, as announced today by Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig.
“I could not be more excited to be working with the Men’s and Women’s Soccer programs here at ODU. Being back at the school that I had the privilege to play for is a dream come true for me. I am looking forward to learning and working under the expertise of Coach Dawson and Coach Hind,” Harmon said.
Harmon served as assistant coach for Florida Southern in 2013 under the direction of former ODU men’s soccer standout and former ODU men’s soccer assistant coach, Ryan Sniegoski (ODU’05).
Harmon played both midfielder and forward during his playing career at Old Dominion and was a First Team NSCAA All-Region and First Team All-CAA member in 2012. He ranked 26th nationally in points per game (1.50), third in CAA in assists with six and fourth in the league in total goals in 2012 with nine. Harmon played 72 times (started 65 times) for the Monarchs, while scoring 21 goals and assisting 14 times (69 total points). He is a native of Downingtown, PA.
