|Gianna Guyot named SWAC Goalkeeper of the Week
Guyot recorded 14 saves against Lipscomb on Sunday
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University goalkeeper Gianna Guyot was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, announced by the conference office late Monday afternoon.
Guyot played all 90 minutes in a 4-0 loss to Lipscomb on Sunday, and although she gave up four goals she also made a season-high 14 saves on the day.
Alabama State (2-5) opens conference play Friday on the road against Alcorn State, before facing Mississippi Valley State on Sunday.
