Falcon Heights, Minn. - The 22nd-ranked Huskers finished its Big Ten Conference road schedule a perfect 5-0 as Jordan Jackson's goal in the 24th minute gave the Nebraska defense the only insurance it needed en route to the 1-0 victory at Minnesota on Sunday. NU is now 12-3-1 overall and 7-1 atop the Big Ten, notching its highest conference win total since 2001 and fourth shutout of the year.

Nebraska has won 10 of its last 11 matches for the first time since 2002. The offense has been on a quite as run as the Huskers have scored in 13 straight matches, the longest streak since 2002 when NU put together 14 in a row. Nebraska also improves its record to 9-0-1 this season when scoring first.

Senior NU goalkeeper Emma Stevens surpassed former Husker Erin Miller in Sunday's contest to become the all-time leader in saves at Nebraska. Stevens, a graduate student from Corona, Calif., made six stops on the afternoon and sits alone in first place with 245 career saves.

"We know what we are trying to accomplish this year and this game proved that we are willing to do whatever it takes," commented Stevens after her 30th career victory and eighth shutout. "We went undefeated on the road in the Big Ten and that is very tough to do. I'm extremely proud of our team!"

The game-winning tally occurred at 23:18 of the first half as NU grasped momentum and the 1-0 edge early on the road. Katie Kraeutner found Jackson with a through ball as Jackson slotted it into the right corner of the goal past Minnesota's Tarah Hobbs. The tally was Jackson's seventh of the year and extends her scoring streak to four consecutive matches.

NU took the 1-0 edge into halftime leading in shots on goal by a 10-9 margin, including 6-3 shots on goal. Minnesota (9-5-2, 2-4-2 Big Ten) finished the match with a 20-16 advantage in shot attempts, while Nebraska lead in on-target chances 9-6. Minnesota earned nine corner kicks compared to six for NU.

"It's a great feeling. We are stepping up to the plate and reaching our potential," said senior defender Maritza Hayes, one of three NU position players (Ari Romero, Caroline Gray) to play all 90 minutes. "There's still another level we can reach and we are definitely headed in the right direction."

NU returns home for the final three regular season games starting with a matchup against Ohio State on Friday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m.
