WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 9, 2011 - Georgetown (4-2-0) scored once in each half to post a 2-0 women's soccer win over James Madison (3-2-1) vs. Friday evening.

Georgetown, ranked as high as #13 in the national polls earlier this season, ended a three-game Dukes' winning streak.

Kelly D'Ambrisi scored an unassisted goal in the 23rd minute and then was credited with an assist on the Hoyas' second goal, which came with under 18 minutes to play.  Ingrid Wells netted a six-yard shot off D'Ambrisi's pass.

The game was played on the Hoyas' football field after recent heavy rains in the area left the Georgetown grass soccer field unplayable.

The Hoyas held the Dukes scoreless for the first time this season, and JMU was credited with a season-low three shots.  Georgetown took 16 shots.

JMU redshirt freshman goalkeeper Kate Courter (Lincoln Park, N.J./Immaculate Heart), who had posted three consecutive shutouts, finished with one save.  Georgetown goalie Elizabeth Hanna also made one save.

JMU returns home to face third-ranked Maryland on Sunday, Sept. 11.  The match kicks off at 7 p.m. at the JMU Soccer Complex.
