Lamar rallies to tie Evansville

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Jennifer Moore and Lorna Maudslay each scored goals in the final five minutes of regulation to lift the Lamar University women’s soccer team rallied for a 2-2 tie with Evansville at the Hilton Garden High Altitude Tournament at Northern Arizona University on Friday.
Evansville (1-5-2) opened the scoring 7:17 into the contest on a goal by Kaitlin Robinett. Evansville increaded its lead to 2-0 9:47 into the second half on a goal by Stephanie Thompson.
Moore got Lamar on the board with 4:31 remaining in regulation to give the Lady Cardinals (1-2-1) some hope. Maudslay scored the equalizer with 1:51 remaining. Kimmy Albeno assisted on both Lamar goals.
Lamar meets Ball State at 11 a.m. Sunday in Flagstaff.
