Lehigh nets 14 on PL Academic Honor Roll
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh men's soccer team not only had a successful season the field in 2018, they also excelled in the classroom. 14 members of the team were selected to be a part of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2018 semester for achieving a GPA of 3.20 or higher, as announced by the league on Wednesday. The program has now placed more than 10 players on the honor roll in eight of the last nine seasons.
The total is also the program's highest since the 2015 season (14).
Of the 14 honorees, two — freshman Dawson Berger and junior Ian Marshall — achieved 4.0 GPAs. This was the third straight selection for Marshall on the honor roll.
In addition to the honor roll, five players were selected to Lehigh University Dean's List for reaching a GPA of 3.60 or higher. Berger, Marshall, freshman Valentine Perevalov (3.80), senior Paul Steingraber (3.75) and senior Matt Morana (3.71) were all Dean's List honorees for the Fall 2018 semester.
Along with Berger and Perevalov, Justin Scharf, Noah Sutherland and Michael Tahiru were all first-year members on the honor roll as freshmen.
Morana and Steingraber close their careers at Lehigh with three Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections.
