Marist Ends Season With Defeat to Niagara
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Marist women's soccer team concluded its 2014 season with a 4-0 loss at Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent Niagara on Oct. 29.
Niagara got on the board early with a goal from senior Kiley Titus in the fourth minute, as the Purple Eagles led 1-0 after the first half. Senior Haillie Price scored twice in the second half to lead Niagara (10-2-5, 6-1-3) in the shutout.
Freshman Camille Bowen (Goshen, N.Y.) fired three shots and took three of the Red Foxes' five corner kicks. Between the pipes, senior Andrea Wicks (East Northport, N.Y.) made six saves to bring her final season total to 38.
Senior Amanda Epstein (Jericho, N.Y.) concluded her Marist career second in the program’s all-time history with 66 career points and third in career goals with 24.
The Red Foxes finished the 2014 season 2-12-4 overall and 1-6-3 in MAAC competition.
