Men’s Division I Top 25: Oct. 13
While some clarity has begun to emerge in this wild season of Division I soccer, each week still provides a new upset and shake-up to the rankings. Washington survived against a talented Oregon State team in a 1-1 draw on Sunday and held onto the top spot in the TopDrawerSoccer Men’s Top 25 for the eighth week of the season.
Creighton remains in the second spot following wins over Drake and Butler. The Jays continue to roll along, but the loss of talented freshman forward Ricardo Lopez-Espin to injury is a tough blow for the Big East squad.
Syracuse finally conceded some goals, but the Orange also picked up wins over Albany and Wake Forest over the course of the past week.
Indiana and Charlotte make the jump into the top five this week after checking in at No. 9 and No. 13 last week, respectively. Indiana soared up the Top 25 after a 3-0 win over Louisville and a 2-1 win against Ohio State. Charlotte continues to enjoy a stellar season. Last week, the 49ers defeated Clemson and FIU.
