Although a center back, Furman freshman Braden Dunham has shown a goal-scoring touch all season with six goals going into the Elite Eight. Yet no one could have seen what he did coming as he executed a perfect chip from near the halfway line to catch Portland off guard and send the Paladins to their first College Cup in program history.

GK: Ivan Horvat, Furman - A commanding clean sheet and seven crucial saves powered the Paladins to an upset at Portland.
D: Quinten Blair, Saint Louis - A successful penalty conversion from Blair was vital in the 3-2 comeback defeat of Akron.
D: Braden Dunham, Furman - Dunham’s long-range chip was the lone goal to defeat Portland 1-0.
D: Isaac Heffess, NC State - A decisive assist and 90 influential minutes elevated NC State past Georgetown 3-2 on the road.
M: Taig Healy, NC State - The senior midfielder struck six minutes in, generating momentum for the 3-2 Elite Eight victory over Georgetown.
M: Tanner Anderson, Saint Louis – Anderson scored the 87th-minute comeback-sealing goal to defeat Akron.
M: Richard Aman, Washington - Aman delivered two assists in the 3-1 win over Maryland.
M: Osatohamwen Enabulele, Washington - The freshman’s crucial equalizer ignited the 3-1 victory over Maryland.
F: Andrew Heckenlaible, Saint Louis – Heckenlaible assisted the game-winner in the 3-2 upset of Akron.
F: Charlie Kosakoff, Washington – Kosakoff scored the go-ahead goal in Washington’s 3-1 win over Maryland.
F: Donavan Phillip, NC State - An assist from Phillip helped NC State defeat Georgetown on the road.
