Men's Team of the Week: September 19
Get this, Northwestern scored six goals this week, and Justin Weiss had a hand in every one with four goals and two assists. First, he scored a hat trick plus an assist against an undefeated UIC team and then followed that with a goal and assist against UC Riverside. With this exceptional week guiding him to 16 points on the season for undefeated Northwestern, Weiss is building quite a case as one of the best attackers in college soccer.

GK Ben Alexander, South Carolina – The impressive sophomore keeper made four saves as South Carolina upset No. 11 Kentucky away from home.
D Tyler Trusner, Loyola Marymount – The senior defender had quite the week, first coming off the bench to score and assists to lead a comeback win versus Seattle, then playing 88 minutes in a clean sheet versus CSUN.
D Kevin Bonilla, Portland – In a top-15 matchup, Portland prevailed over No. 13 Denver, with Bonilla providing two assists.
D Jonathan Robinson, Western Michigan – The defender had a dominant week, starting in two clean sheets versus Detroit Mercy and Bowling Green while providing two assists.
M Hjalti Sigurdsson, Dayton – A hat trick from midfield against a conference rival in Rhode Island is a flawless way to earn a spot on the team of the week.
M Moses Bakabulindi, Stony Brook – The sophomore assisted all three goals as Stony Brook handed Delaware their first loss.
M Roberto Ordonez, Cal State Fullerton – The Junior from Texas managed a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win versus Air Force, then followed that with two goals in a 4-1 against UCLA.
M Maximus Barboto, NJIT – With four assists split evenly against La Salle and Sacred Heart, Barboto was an elite provider this week.
F Justin Weiss, Northwestern – Four goals and two assists between the UIC and UC Riverside games earn Weiss recognition as the player of the week.
F Logan Farrington, Oregon State – Farrington was exceptional with both Oregon State goals in the 2-1 upset of No. 1 Stanford, three days after his goal and assist in a 2-2 draw versus California.
F Bright Nutornutsi, Grand Canyon – A bright spot on the week, Nutornutsi scored twice against Santa Barbara, then assisted the lone goal against UC San Diego.
