Morris signs with Columbus Crew SC
Star Indiana freshman Aidan Morris has left school and signed a Homegrown deal with the Columbus Crew, it was announced on Sunday.
"We are excited to announce that Aidan will be joining the Crew SC First Team after a very successful season with the Indiana Hoosiers,” President and General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a press release. “Aidan’s success at the collegiate level speaks to the great work being done by our Academy’s technical staff and we are glad that Aidan will remain a member of our Crew family. We believe that, had Aidan been in the MLS SuperDraft this year, he would have been one of the top three picks in the First Round.”
During high school, the Florida native relocated to Ohio for two seasons in the Crew SC Academy, playing for the U17 and U19 squads in Columbus. He made 42 appearances (39 starts) for Crew SC Academy, scoring eight goals. He signed to play at Indiana as part of the 2019 recruiting class.

“Unfortunately, it is not the ending I wanted but it was an unforgettable season filled with lots of amazing memories and relationships made that will be forever lasting,” Morris said in a release. “I would like to thank the coaching staff for helping me grow as a player and more importantly a person. I would also like to thank my teammates who opened my eyes to a brotherhood that I never knew was possible. Thank you again to everyone who made this season unforgettable. GO HOOSIERS.”
