After competing against the top team in the third division of Spanish Professional Futbol, we started off day seven with a 2.5-hour bike tour through Barcelona. We were out of the hotel by 0900 and ready to go on our very own bicycles by 1000. Led by knowledgable tour guides, we were able to take in the beautiful city for all that it is. We visited multiple city landmarks and enjoyed the fresh air and warm weather that we were fortunate enough to have all week. At the end of the tour, our tour guides treated us to ice cold drinks on the beach before we loaded the bus back up. We even had live music perform for us too!
After the bike tour, we had the afternoon to ourselves before we played our final friendly. We finished the soccer aspect of the week on a high note, winning our last game 4-2 against a formidable opponent. We controlled much of the match and finished our opportunities while limiting our opponents. That's all for now. Buenos Noches!

Saturday, the last day of the trip, was a day of rest for us. We slept in through lunch and then after lunch we left for a beach near Gava, the town of our first training session in Spain. The beach was nice and quiet, with great sand and nice clear water. Due to the cold temperature of the water, most of the guys stayed out and played sand soccer of some sort or just relaxed on the beach.
After the beach, our next order of business was to go see RCD Espanyol B (the reserve team for the club Espanyol, from Barcelona) play a game. This was a unique experience to get to see some of the future stars of Spanish football play. During halftime of the game, many of the guys went to the shop and bought Espanyol team gear to remember this trip by.
To cap off an unbelievable trip, the whole group had dinner at a Tapes Restaurant in the heart of Barcelona. Tapes food consists of many, small portions of meats, cheeses, seafood, etc... and is a Catalan tradition. We had a great time hanging out with each other, celebrating a great trip and sharing memories that will last a lifetime.
