NO. 24 DAYTON SHUTS OUT NO. 25 OHIO STATE 1-0

COLUMBUS, Ohio - University of Dayton sophomore Katrin Loo, a member of the Estonian National Team, scored the lone goal in the Flyers' 1-0 win over No. 25 Ohio State at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The assist for Loo's first goal of her UD career came on a cornerkick by junior Alysha Mallon in the 36th minute.
No. 24 Dayton (7-1-0) outshot the Buckeyes (5-3) 12-11. Junior goalkeeper Katherine Boone had six saves in goal to help UD to its third shutout this season. It marked the 18th of her career, third all-time at Dayton.
The win was redemption for the Flyers. The teams met twice last season and Dayton went 0-1-1 against the Buckeyes – a 1-0 loss at home on Sept. 3 and a 0-0 double overtime tie in the NCAA Second Round in which the Buckeyes advanced with a 4-2 advantage in the shootout. OSU went on to make a it to the Final Four.
The Flyers host undefeated Kentucky this Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free.
