No. 4 Orediggers, Cowgirls Settle In Scoreless Stalemate
LAS VEGAS, N.M. – In a clash of the conference's top women's soccer scoring offenses, NSCAA No. 4 Colorado School of Mines and New Mexico Highlands settled on a 0-0 draw in double overtime Friday night at Perkins Stadium in Las Vegas, N.M.

The Cowgirls (4-3-2, 1-2-2 RMAC) held a 14-10 advantage on shots with both sides directing four on frame.  

Senior Nicho Cusack, juniors Rachael Turner and Deirdre Johnson, and freshman Laya Rybicki combined for the four tries on goal as Mines (7-0-2, 4-0-1 RMAC) earned its first scoreless tie since Sept. 15, 2013 at Eastern New Mexico.

Junior Jayln Yates (7-0-2) worked all 110:00 minutes in goal, negating four shots to overtake sole possession of third place in the RMAC record book in career shutouts with 29.

The Orediggers remain 13th in the Division II chronicles in consecutive conference games without a loss with 31, while their consecutive conference wins streak ends at 23 – tied for 11th-longest all-time.

The women are back in Golden on Sunday, hosting Adams State at 1 p.m. at CSM Soccer Stadium.
