ODU Women's Soccer Battles to Overtime
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team battled the Northwood Timberwolves to 0-0 double overtime draw on Friday evening at Panther Field.
With the second tie of the season, the Panthers are now 4-3-2 overall and 1-2-2 in GLIAC while the Timberwolves moved to 2-5-1 and 2-2-1 in conference play.
In the first half, the Panthers managed to slightly edge the Timberwolves on shots, outshooting Northwood 6-5. In the second half, ODU outshot the Timberwolves 12-3 but the score remained tied 0-0.
Despite holding a 23-8 advantage on shots, the Panthers could not score, recording their second double overtime of the season.
The Panthers also finished the game with an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalie Laura Clark (Lapeer, Mich.) tallied six saves in goal.
ODU will play again on Sunday, Sep 30 at Panther Field for a 2:00 pm conference match against Saginaw Valley.
