WATERTOWN, N.Y. - Oct. 20 - Erie Community College sophomore Chelsea Olson (West Seneca, N.Y./West Seneca East) scored in the 65th minute to give the ECC women's soccer team a 2-1 win over Jefferson CC Saturday in the first round of the Region III playoffs. The Kats, now 8-8, advance to play fourth-ranked Mohawk Valley CC Tuesday in Utica, N.Y.

 

Trailing 1-0 after the first half, ECC's Allyson Wrazen (East Aurora, N.Y./Iroquois) tied the contest in the 53rd minute with the assist going to Jasmine Wiggins (Greece, N.Y./Greece Arcadia). Sophomore Breanna Pangel(Holland, N.Y./Holland) assisted on Olson's tally.

 

Sophomore Madison Kiernan (Angola, N.Y./Immaculata) made seven saves for the win.
