Parker and Profumo Win ECAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Eastern College Athletic Conference honored a pair of Battler freshman Thursday afternoon. Deshawn Parker brought home Rookie of the Year Honors while Marco Profumo was a second-team all-star.
Parker paced the Battler offense with eight goals while also dishing out five assists for a total of 21 points. He also led the team with 18 shots on goal. He tallied a hat-trick on Sept. 20 in a wild 4-3 victory over Ohio Valley.
Parker adds the ECAC Rookie of the Year honor to his second-team All-G-MAC selection and G-MAC All-Freshman team honors.
Profumo tied Parker for the team lead in points with 21. He notched six goals and a G-MAC leading nine helpers. He also led AB with three game-winning goals.
Profumo was a second-team All-G-MAC honoree and was also a member of the G-MAC All-Freshman Team.
