Pfaff Nabs MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – For the second time in three weeks, Brittany Pfaff is the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week. The Siena Women’s Soccer senior captain scored all three of the Saints’ goals last week and has tallied five goals in five matches this season.
The native of Charlotte, Vt. totaled six points last week. On Friday, she scored twice including the game-winning golden goal in overtime as the Saints beat UMass-Lowell 2-1. Yesterday, she added yet another goal in Siena’s 3-1 loss at Stony Brook.
Pfaff has already amassed more points in five matches this season (13) then she totaled the past two years combined (11) in 31 matches. Of Siena’s nine goals this season, Pfaff has either scored or assisted on eight of them.
Thanks to the fast start to her senior season, Pfaff now ranks tied for eighth all-time in program history in scoring (49 points) and is 10th in goals (19).
Pfaff and the Saints return to the pitch Friday when they host Rhode Island for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
