October 28, 2012
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Complete information for the 2012 Patriot League Women’s Soccer Tournament was released on Sunday as the fourth-seeded Mountain Hawks will face #1 and host Navy on Friday at 7 p.m. That follows a 3 p.m. showdown featuring #2 Colgate against #3 American. There will be live video and statistics available for both semifinal games and Saturday’s championship game (which is set for 2 p.m.).
After dropping their first four Patriot League games, all by a single goal, Lehigh bounced back with three straight wins (all at home) to snatch the #4 seed in the tournament. The Mountain Hawks beat Bucknell (2-1 in overtime), Colgate (1-0) and Holy Cross (4-0) to advance to their second Patriot League Tournament in the last three seasons.
Lehigh head coach Eric Lambinus is 2-0 all-time in Patriot League Tournament games. In 2010, the Mountain Hawks beat Bucknell in the semifinals and host Army in the championship game for the program’s first-ever Patriot League Title.
