Recruiting team needs for 2015: women
As crazy as it sounds, most women’s college soccer programs have their 2015 classes locked in years in advance. It is the late risers that shift things a bit in the coming months but most of the top recruits are already verbally committed.
That said, there are still some holes to fill for programs over the next 11 months in the build up to Signing Day 2015. Here is a look at the team needs for ten of the best programs in women’s soccer for their 2015 recruiting classes. Check back next week for a feature on the recruiting needs for the men’s programs.

2014 Roster Breakdown –
Goalkeepers (3): Freshman, sophomore, senior
Defenders (9): Two freshmen, two sophomore, two juniors, three seniors
Midfielders (13): Two freshmen, four sophomores, three juniors, four seniors
Forwards (10): Two freshmen, three sophomores, three juniors, two seniors
2015 recruits: midfielder, forward
The idea with assessing roster needs is that teams will have holes in the lineup to fill in 2015. The reigning champions are also hinder by the coaching change in 2013, which slowed down the recruiting process for 2015 and beyond. There are two very talented players in the 2015 class, but UCLA will need help at goalkeeper, defense, and in the midfield with the graduation of a number of top recruits from the past quickly coming up.
