Below are some of the notable moves you may have missed in men’s and women’s DI soccer:
Internationals, transfers join Boston College
Competing in the ACC is no easy task. Last fall, Boston College stormed out to an impressive start during the non-conference portion of the 2019 schedule. The momentum didn’t carry over into ACC success, winning just one of 10 games after a 7-0-1 record outside the league.
The 10 players announced as part of the class of 2020 could mark a sea change, as there are several interesting names to watch. Emily Knous transfers in from Arizona and should be able to make the transition from the Pac-12 to the ACC. Linda Lif Boama joins from the Iceland youth setup; Wiebke Willebrandt is a German youth international goalkeeper. Sonia Walk is a veteran of Canada’s youth side.
