Brianna Reid (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) recorded her third career hat trick as the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team defeated Brooklyn College 11-0 Friday night at Fiskum Field in Whitewater. The win is the second in as many days for the Warhawks who are now 3-1.
 
Kaci Schonert (Racine, Wis./Horlick) got the scoring started after knocking in a pass from Brianna Reid (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) just thirty seconds into the game. The goal was the first of Schonert's collegiate career.
 
Reid scored the next two goals in the 4th and 6th minutes assisted by Marie Lesperance (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha South) and Adria Schueler (Wales, Wis./Mukwonago), respectively.
 
Lesperance followed with two goals of her own in the 9th and 11th minutes. Schonert and Carina Krausert (Delafield, Wis./Catholic Memorial) provided the assists.
 
Reid finished off her hat trick in the 11th minute knocking one into the lower left corner of the goal off of a pass from Schonert. Reid's last hat trick was exactly one year ago today against North Park University. Her first career three-goal game came during her sophomore year when the Warhawks topped UW-Superior 8-0 on October 25, 2014.
 
Laura Schultz (Walled Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Central) scored the seventh, and final, goal of the half in the 42nd minute on a pass from Alyssa Lennon (Oshkosh, Wis./Oshkosh West).
 
Goals by Karina Rosales (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) and Jamie Haertle (Minocqua, Wis./Kettle Moraine, Wis.)made it 9-0 with less than twenty minutes to play, and Jordan Jackson (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich)followed with her first two goals of the season to bring the final score to 11-0.
 
Erin Doody (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way Central) and Jennie Novak (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield Academy) split goalkeeping responsibilities for the Warhawks. Novak made one save in the second half, but Doody earned the win.
 
The Warhawks outshot the Bulldogs 35-1 in the match and earned twenty corner kicks.
 
"I was proud of the way we finished tonight. I'm hoping we can build that momentum to Sunday. Carthage is going to be tough," Head Coach Ryan Quamme said after the game.
 
Reid now has 52 career goals, three shy of tying the school record of 55 set by All-American Emily Gerber who played from 2008-11.
 
Quamme said of Reid, "Bri is a special player, she has a knack to finish. I'm most proud of the way she has matured over her four years. She's scoring different types of goals than she scored as a freshman and sophomore."
 
The No. 10 Warhawks will take Saturday off before returning to Fiskum Field at 2 pm on Sunday for a match against Carthage.
