Rice & Oklahoma St Cancelled Due To Weather
September 20, 2013
HOUSTON - The Rice and Oklahoma State soccer game, originally slated for Friday (Sept. 20) has been cancelled due to weather conditions in the Houston area and will not be rescheduled.
The teams originally made a decision to move the 7 pm start time up three and one-half hours earlier in the day to avoid the inclement weather, but lightning and rain forced a cancellation in the game's 59th minute with the score tied 3-3. The game would have had to reach the 70th minute before an outcome would be considered an official contest.
