LOUDONVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women’s soccer team fell at Siena, 1-0, Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 7-5-2 (3-3-1 MAAC), while the Saints are now 7-6-3 (4-1-2 MAAC).

Siena scored the game-winning goal in the 40^th minute, when Saints freshman Ashleigh Serafin finished inside the left post off assists from Deanna Lomino and Amanda Holtzman.

Following an evenly-played first half in which both teams took six shots, the Saints kept the pressure on, taking a 7-3 edge in shots in the second half. However, the Broncs took a 3-2 edge in shots on goal. But Siena goalkeeper Taylor Dorado made all three saves to close out the clean sheet.

- Rider’s lead in the all-time series was cut to 10-9-4. The Saints have now won the last two, both by 1-0 final scores.
- Rider is now 3-4-2 when the opponent scores first, as opposed to 5-1-0 when tallying the game’s first goal.
- The shutout was Siena’s fourth-straight in conference play.
- With three games left on the league slate, Rider finds itself in sixth place in the MAAC with 10 points, one point behind its next opponent, Quinnipiac, and three ahead of its next-closest competitor, Manhattan (seven points).
