SIUE Soccer Announces Recruiting Class
SIUE men's soccer has announced the signing of six newcomers who will join the program as the 2015 recruiting class.
On the heels of the program's first Missouri Valley Conference Championship and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Cougars will look to replenish a roster which saw the graduation of five seniors following the season. Included in that group were senior standouts Matt Polster, who was drafted seventh overall by the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer, and Christian Volesky, who was taken 32nd overall by the Portland Timbers.
Chad Douglas (Bristol, England), Adrian Herrera (Buffalo Grove, Illinois), Colin Kehus (Carbondale, Illinois), Tucker Schneider (Thornton, Colorado), Mark Skrivan (Florissant, Missouri), and Brock Tober (Chatham, Illinois) each have agreed to join the Cougars.
Mario Sanchez was introduced in late January as SIUE's head coach. Sanchez will lead the Cougars through the spring season before beginning his first full campaign in August.
