SLU Stumbles at George Washington

WASHINGTON – George Washington scored four first-half goals in a span of 19:10 and went on to defeat Saint Louis 4-1 Sunday in the season finale for both teams.
SLU concluded the season 5-9-4 overall and 3-4-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while GW finished 5-12-1, 1-8.
Lindsay Elking tallied her first goal of the season at the 59:30 mark. Maddie Gebauer collected her first career assist on the play.
George Washington took the lead at 25:26 and netted what proved to be the game-winning goal at 31:05. The Colonials tacked on goals at 34:42 and 44:36 to take a 4-0 cushion into intermission.
