Sneak peak at freshmen women’s stars
No matter how good a player is at the club soccer level, projecting success in their first season in college can sometimes be a crapshoot.
Some players need time to adjust, while others slot in to the starting lineup from day one. With the TopDrawerSoccer.com Freshmen Top 100 getting released next week, here’s a sneak peek at some of the top women’s college freshmen so far.
MF Morgan Andrews, Notre Dame: The No. 1 recruit from this year’s class, Andrews has lived up to her billing and then some. The midfielder seamlessly slotted into the Irish starting lineup, and has shown the ability to score goals from distance and with her head. She netted the winner against North Carolina earlier this season and is going to figure prominently as the season continues and the postseason nears.
