Stony Brook, N.Y. - Despite playing strong defense, the Stony Brook men's soccer team was not able to generate enough offense in a 1-0 loss to Hartford Sunday at LaValle Stadium.

 

The #Seawolves fell to 6-8-1 overall and 1-3-1 in America East. Hartford improves to 10-3-3 overall and 2-2-1 in the conference.

 

Head Coach Ryan Anatol's Reaction

"I thought defensively we had a good performance and limited their opportunities. I thought we did a good job getting behind the ball. Unfortunately we gave up a restart with 30 seconds left in the first half. We weren't good enough on the attacking side of things today. We didn't do enough to create good scoring opportunities."

 

Goal Recap

In the 45th minute, Hartford goes in for a cross from the far side, and the ball is deflected towards Hartford's Shane Dineen, who was face-to-face with the #Seawolves goalkeeper. Dineen dished off to Omar Tall on his right, and Tall calmly sank the goal shot unopposed.
