The men’s college season is winding down into the final weeks of the regular season. The past week saw UNC clinch the ACC Coastal Divison crown with a win. Next week, a number of teams will join the Tar Heels with regular season hardware.

The accomplishments of the team also highlight the individuals who did well on the week. One of the standouts from the Tar Heels made the TDS Team of the Week. Check out who joined him.

TDS Team of the Week (Oct. 27)

GK Chris Froschauer, Ohio State - Froschauer logged a shutout in goal in Ohio State’s 1-0 win over Cleveland State on Wednesday. He followed that up with eight saves in Ohio State’s 1-0 loss to Rutgers on Sunday. 

D Michael Nelson, Old Dominion - Nelson led the ODU defense to a pair of shutouts against ranked opponents in UNC Wilmington and Kentucky. The senior center back is making his second appearance on the TDS Team of the Week after cracking the Best XI back on Sept. 15. Nelson has one goal and one assist in 12 appearances this season. 

D Jordan McCrary, North Carolina - McCrary had two assists in North Carolina’s important 2-1 win over Louisville on Friday. McCrary played all 90 minutes in the game that helped the Tar Heels clinch the ACC Coastal Division. 

D Grant Lillard, Indiana - Lillard scored the lone goal in Indiana’s 1-0 win over Michigan on Saturday. He led the defense to an impressive outing that only allowed two shots on goal for the Wolverines. 

M Victor Souto, Akron - Souto scored a hat trick against Michigan State on Wednesday. South scored all three goals on penalty kicks in the 4-1 win over the Spartans. He had the assist on the other goal as well. 

M Jose Carrera-Garcia, California - Carrera-Garcia scored the game-winner against UCLA on Sunday. It was his second goal of the game as California battled back from a 2-1 deficit to claim a 4-3 win. He had the game-winning assist on Friday as he set up Christian Thierjung in double overtime. 

F Jason Wright, Rutgers - Wright continued his strong season last week with goals in both of Rutgers’ games. He scored the game-winners against Army and Ohio State. He leads the team with 13 goals this season. 

F Kyle Parker, Charlotte - Parker scored three goals and added an assist in Charlotte’s two wins last week. He had two goals and an assist in the 49ers’ 5-0 win over Virginia Tech. He scored another goal in the 2-0 win over South Carolina. He has scored at least a goal in four straight games. 

F Tobenna Uzo, Coastal Carolina - Uzo scored both goals for Coastal Carolina in a 2-1 win over Longwood over the weekend. His game-winner came in double overtime as Coastal Carolina improved to 11-1-1 on the season. 

F Sivert Daehlie, Radford - Daehlie scored four goals in two games last week as he led Redford to a pair of convincing wins. Dahlia scored twice in a 3-0 win over Liberty on Tuesday. He scored two more on Friday in a 5-0 win over Gardner-Webb

F Thomas Sanner, Princeton - Sanner scored the game-winner against Harvard on Saturday, which was Harvard’s first conference loss of the season. Sanner also scored the game-winner last week against West Virginia in a non-conference battle. The senior forward has 10 goals this season.
