That victory, plus a comfortable 8-0 defeat of UNLV on Sunday, pushed the ACC side to the No. 1 spot in this week's TDS Women's DI Top 25 rankings.

Santa Clara defeated previous No. 1 side UCLA on Thursday, opening up the door for the Tar Heels.

Stanford, Virginia, USC and the Bruins round out the top five.
