Temple Loses at Memphis 1-0
MEMPHIS – Temple men's soccer fell to Memphis 1-0 on Saturday night at Mike Rose Stadium in its regular season finale. Temple ends the regular season 2-13-2, 1-6-1 while Memphis finishes at 9-6-2, 3-4-1.
Jordan Klipsch scored off a corner from Bejamin Ciosanski with less than six minutes to go to win the game. Temple put two shots on goal in the second half but was unable to convert.
The first half was scoreless as both teams had two shots in the half. Olli Tynkkynen led the Owls with three shots in the game.
Goalkeeper Dan Scheck made five saves in the game and now has 198 career saves, two away from tying Dave Bragg (1974-75) for eighth place all-time at Temple.
The Owls have finished eighth in the American Athletic Conference and will face the UConn Huskies on the road next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
