Temple Loses to Penn 3-0
AMBLER, Pa. – Temple men's soccer fell to Penn 3-0 in a Philadelphia Soccer Six match on Sunday afternoon at Ambler Sports Complex. The Owls drop to 1-5-1 while Penn improves to 3-3.
Penn scored three goals in a six minute span in the second half. Duke Lacroix started the scoring on a pass from Alec Neumann in the 63rd minute. Forrest Clancy scored three minutes later from a pass from Neumann. Sam Engs concluded the scoring in the 68th minute on a rebound from a shot by Louis Schott.
Both teams traded chances in the first half. Temple outshot Penn 9-2 in the first half and forced Penn goalkeeper Max Polkinhorne to make six saves in the half. Temple finished with 18 shots compared to Penn's 10.
Goalkeeper Bobby Rosato made one save in the game. Alex Cagle relieved Rosato for the final 17 minutes of the game.
Temple returns to action on Wednesday at home at 4:00 pm against No. 11 Delaware (6-2).
