Ten Utes Named to Pac-12 All-Academic Teams
SALT LAKE CITY - Ten members of the Utah soccer team earned Pac-12 Conference academic honors, the conference office announced today. The Utes placed two student-athletes, Janie Kearl and Megan Trabert, on the second team and eight received honorable mention from the conference.
Utah's Second Team honorees:
Janie Kearl, 3.81, Undeclared
Megan Trabert, 3.71, Business Administration
Utah's Honorable Mention honorees:
Kaycee Buckley, Exercise and Sport Science
Mikayla Elmer, Business Administration
Lindsey Luke, Art History
Baylee Nielsen, Human Development and Family Studies
Katie Rogers, Exercise and Sport Science
Taylor Slattery, Human Development and Family Studies
Cabria Turang, Human Development and Family Studies
Natalie Vukic, Undecided
Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, Utah women's soccer has had 57 players earn academic honors from the conference, including 10 student-athletes last season.
Nielsen, Rogers and Trabert were among the academic honorees for a third-straight year while Slattery and Turang earned awards for a second-straight season.
In order to earn All-Academic status, student-athletes must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and either be a starter or significant contributor.
