Tormoehlen Earns RMAC Men’s Soccer Summit Award
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.: The RMAC has honored Regis University men's soccer student-athlete Adam Tormoehlen with the Summit Award.
This award honors two individuals, one male and one female, who achieves the highest academic standard among his or her peers while competing in the RMAC Championships. The award goes to the individual who has the highest cumulative grade point average after the RMAC Championship match.
A sophomore forward, Tormoehlen has maintained a 3.93 grade point average while majoring in Health Professions. This season, he was named RMAC First Team All-Academic and has started in all 17 of the Ranger's contests.
The native of Highlands Ranch, Colo. has netted six goals and assisted on five others for 17 points this season. He has scored one game-winning goal and maintains a .545 shot on goal percentage after putting 12 of his 22 shots on goal.
As the 2012 RMAC Champions, the Rangers will host the RMAC Tournament on Friday, November 2 at 2:30 PM. Sunday will be hosted by the highest remaining seed after Friday's matches.
