Tulsa Drops 1-0 Decision to #24 USF
The Tulsa women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to 24th-ranked USF on Thursday night at Corbett Stadium in Tampa, Fla. TU fell to 11-2-1 on the season and 2-1-1 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Bulls moved to 11-2-1 overall and 4-1 in the league.
The Golden Hurricane and USF battled for 71 minutes before Trudi Carter put the Bulls on the board at the 71:38 mark off an assist from Grace Adams.
Tana Dake and Kajal Parmar both had a team-best three shots, while Rachel Thun added two attempts and Sierra Krenik had one shot for TU. Courtney McKeon logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up seven saves.
USF had a 22-9 lead in shots, including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal, and a 3-2 lead in corner kicks.
Tulsa will return to action against UCF on Sunday, October 11. Game time is set for 12 noon Central in Orlando, Fla.
