Tulsa Falls to ECU, 1-0
The Tulsa women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to ECU on Sunday afternoon at Johnson Stadium in Greenville, N.C. TU fell to 3-12-3 on the season and 1-6-1 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Pirates moved to 6-7-2 overall and 1-5 in the league.
Courtney Cash scored the only goal of the contest off an assist from Jenna Geist at the 28:32 mark.
The Pirates had a 12-8 lead in shots, including a 4-3 edge in shots on goal, and a 4-2 lead in corner kicks.
Alyssa Kaiser and Ashlyn Heckman both had a team-best two shots, while four others had one attempt. Courtney McKeon logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up three saves.
Tulsa will conclude American Athletic Conference play on Friday, October 27 against Memphis. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
