DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (0-5-0) fell 1-0 to Wright State (3-2-0) Sunday night at Baujan Field. The Raiders scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute.
STATS OF THE MATCH
• The Flyers took 27 shots, while the Raiders got off 18 shots, and both squads tallied six shots on goal.
• UD junior Meghan Blank led all players with eight shots.
• Dayton took 11 corner kicks while WSU had three.
• Wright State had 23 substitutions in the match, with 20 different players seeing action.
• Flyer freshman goalkeeper Kaelyn Johns had five saves in goal.
UP NEXT
• The Flyers will host Rice on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Dayton will be celebrating Heroes Day. Members from Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) will present the colors. WPAFB EOC will be providing demonstrations in the parking lot.
