#UDWSOC FALLS TO #18 OHIO STATE 2-1
DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (0-3-0) fell in its home opener to the Ohio State University (3-0-0) 2-1 on Thursday night at Baujan Field. Nicole Waters notched the Flyers' only goal on a free kick in the 87th minute, but the Flyers rally would get no closer.
STATS OF THE MATCH
- 2,102 fans packed Baujan Field, the second-highest attendance in program history. The record is 2,763 set in 2012 vs. Boston.
- Nicole Waters scored Dayton's lone goal in the 87th minute off a free kick from 25 feet out.
- Freshman Kaelyn Johns made another seven saves against 19 total Buckeyes shots.
