STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team fell 8-0 to No. 4 Stanford Sunday at Cagan Stadium.

The Flyers are 2-5-1 overall while the Cardinal improve to 6-0-1. Stanford has yet to give up a goal this season. The Cardinal only outshot the Flyers 15-12, but had 11 shots on goal, while UD had just two shots on goal. Junior Nicole Waters took a match-high six shots for the Flyers.

Ry Walker-Hartshorn had a hat trick for Stanford (36^th, 48^th and 54^thminutes). Alex Doll had two goals for the Cardinal (76^th and 87^th minutes). Andi Sullivan (17^th), Haley Rosen (20^th) and Kendall Romine (66^th) also scored for Stanford.
 
Dayton returns home and will host Ohio University on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Toledo on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free to all UD women's soccer regular season matches.
