#UDWSOC SHUT OUT BY NO. 4 STANFORD, 8-0
STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team fell 8-0 to No. 4 Stanford Sunday at Cagan Stadium.
The Flyers are 2-5-1 overall while the Cardinal improve to 6-0-1. Stanford has yet to give up a goal this season. The Cardinal only outshot the Flyers 15-12, but had 11 shots on goal, while UD had just two shots on goal. Junior Nicole Waters took a match-high six shots for the Flyers.
Ry Walker-Hartshorn had a hat trick for Stanford (36th, 48th and 54thminutes). Alex Doll had two goals for the Cardinal (76th and 87th minutes). Andi Sullivan (17th), Haley Rosen (20th) and Kendall Romine (66th) also scored for Stanford.
Dayton returns home and will host Ohio University on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Toledo on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free to all UD women's soccer regular season matches.
