FC Dallas has signed midfielder Brandon Servania to a Homegrown contract, the club announced on Wednesday.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound midfielder started 20 games for Wake Forest this past season as a freshman, scoring three goals and adding 11 assists as the Demon Deacons reached the Quarterfinal round of the 2017 NCAA College Cup.

“He's growing quickly. His freshman year has been unbelievable,” Technical Director Fernando Clavijo told fcdallas.com. “[Brandon is] an incredible talent and he's coming along well. We could not pass on [the opportunity to sign] him. He’s a player that we need to have in our team.”

"We are extremely happy for Brandon and his family on signing a homegrown contract with FC Dallas," head coach Bobby Muuss said in a statement. "Although disappointed he will not be on the field next season in a Wake Forest jersey, he is a special talent and we are extremely excited to follow him in the next chapter of his soccer career."

Servania joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2015 and was a member of the U-16 team that brought home the 2016 U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Championship and the U-18 team that captured the club’s first Gordon Jago Dallas Cup Super Group title in 2017.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Servania and his family moved to Frisco in 2015 so that he could join the FC Dallas Academy, along with his younger brother Jaden.

“We, as a family, sacrificed a lot for me to and my brother and moved from Alabama, where I've lived my whole life," Servania told fcdallas.com. "Just being able to make the jump from the Academy to finally signing pro is just a dream come true.”
