Week in Consideration: September 5-September 10
D2 Women’s Player of the Week: Grace Keen, West Chester
No goalkeeper impressed more than the West Chester senior this week. Keen made three saves in a 0-0 draw with Shippensburg, then followed up with ten stops to secure a commanding 3-0 win over No. 11 Jefferson.
D2 Women’s Team of the Week: Catawba
Catawba College began the season with three consecutive wins, boasting a goal differential of 14 by scoring 15 and conceding just one.
D3 Women’s Player of the Week: Lauryn Skoruppa, Saint Mary's (Minn.)
Skoruppa could not do without a brace over the past week, scoring two in three successive games to lead a perfect week for the Cardinal. It continues a breakout campaign for a senior whose eight goals are just four away from the 12 she managed last year.
D3 Women’s Team of the Week: Washington (Mo.)
The defending champions have started the season in fine form. A 2-0 victory over No. 25 Calvin and a 4-0 rout of Rose-Hulman moved the Bears to 4-0 on the year. Washington appears poised for another strong campaign, even after graduating six starters from last year’s national final.
NAIA Women’s Player of the Week: Eliza Luttrell, Taylor
Luttrell was pivotal for Taylor, recording a goal and assist in a 4-1 win over No. 18 Campbellsville, then two goals and two assists in an 8-0 victory at St. Mary-Woods.
NAIA Women’s Team of the Week: Keiser
Keiser handled ranked opponents impressively this week. The Hawks, motivated to avenge last year’s title loss, defeated No. 2 William Carey and No. 10 Tennessee Southern, scoring five goals and conceding none.
