There is plenty of talent throughout the levels of college soccer, and the first D2, D3, and NAIA recap of the season highlights the players who have dominated the start of the campaign.

Week in Consideration: August 29-September 4

NCAA DII Women’s Player of the Week: Paige Branam, Lincoln Memorial

The Lincoln Memorial freshman had a stellar collegiate debut, scoring a hat trick to help the Railsplitters win their opening night game versus Lees-McRae. While the Tennessee native was not the only player to deliver an opening night hat trick, hers was arguably the most important, with the third coming as an 85th-minute winner in the narrow 3-2 victory.

NCAA DIII Women’s Player of the Week: Margaret Farra, Case Western Reserve

Some players figure it out over the offseason, and that could not be more true for Farra, whose seven goals to start the year are four more than she managed over the last two seasons. The senior star scored once against Allegheny and recorded hat tricks versus Franciscan and John Carroll to round out a stellar week of soccer.

NAIA Women’s Player of the Week: Karinna Tel, Dordt

Dordt legend Karinna Tel, who holds the program record for career goals with 79, hit full form over the week, scoring six and assisting one in just two appearances. The senior two-time NAIA All-American looks ready to challenge the single-season school records for goals (34) that she managed last season.
