Women's Division I Top 25: Oct 27
It was almost a perfect past week for the Top 10 ranked teams in the TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Save for draws between No. 6 Texas A&M and No. 24 South Carolina, and a tight 1-1 affair between No. 2 Florida State and No. 5 North Carolina, it was wins all around for the best teams in the nation.
Regular season conference titles were clinched in the process as well, as West Virginia and Penn State officially clinched their respective Big 12 and Big Ten crowns.
It was two more wins for No. 1 UCLA as well. The Westwood juggernaut traveled to the Pacific Northwest and swept aside Oregon State and Oregon, winning both games by an 8-0 score line. The Bruins also have four straight shutouts against Pac-12 opposition, outscoring the quartet of opponents 17-0 during that run, and have won seven games in a row.
Two of the hottest teams in the country jumped into the Top 25, as Washington State (No. 18) and BYU (No. 20) continued picking up results. The Cougars extended their winning streak to ten straight, blowing out Santa Clara 5-2 and topping San Francisco 3-0. Atlantic Sun regular season champions Florida Gulf Coast(w) also grabbed the 25th and final spot in the rankings.
